A public hearing to receive comments to amend Ordinance. No. 20860, "Thoroughfare Plan" of the City of Dallas, Texas to (1) delete Buford Drive between Camp Wisdom Road and Millett Drive from the Thoroughfare Plan; and (2) delete Millett Drive between Interstate Highway-35E and University Hill Boulevard from the Thoroughfare Plan; and, at the close of the public hearing, (3) authorize an ordinance implementing the change - Financing: No cost consideration to the City

BACKGROUND
RG University Hills, LLC., the developer of the property on the northwest corner of Camp Wisdom Road and University Hills Boulevard, has requested two amendments to the City of Dallas Thoroughfare Plan to:
1) Delete Buford Drive from Camp Wisdom Road to Millett Drive; and
2) Delete Millett Drive between IH-35E and University Hills Boulevard.
Buford Drive and Millett Drive are both on the Thoroughfare Plan as residential collectors. Buford Drive is on the Thoroughfare Plan as a minor four-lane undivided roadway (M-4-U) in 60 feet of right-of-way, and it has not been constructed north of Camp Wisdom Road; south of Camp Wisdom Road Buford Drive has been built. Millett Drive is on the Thoroughfare Plan as a standard two-lane undivided roadway (S-2-U) in 56 feet of right-of-way. Millett Drive has not been constructed east of Manitoba Avenue; west of Manitoba Avenue it was not built to Thoroughfare Plan standards. Millett Drive west of Manitoba Avenue will remain on the City of Dallas' local street network. If Millett Drive were to be extended east of Manitoba Avenue, it would bisect the Laurel Land Funeral Home and Laurel Land Memorial Park.
