body
BACKGROUND

The City of Dallas Park & Recreation Department (City) and Dallas Independent School District (DISD) have partnered over the years whereby DISD is authorized to use City golf courses, tennis centers, and other facilities designed specifically for athletic use such as softball, baseball, rugby, gym, running tracks, pools, and stadiums for district tournament practice and play for a reduced fee depending on the services requested. This agreement will allow DISD to utilize the golf and tennis facilities from 2022 through the 2027 school year.
The requested agreement allows the City of Dallas Park & Recreation Department and Dallas Independent School District to waive fees associated with the use of their respective athletic facilities. Fees associated with the use of tennis centers and golf courses are paid directly to the tennis or golf contractor. Fees are not collected by or paid to the Park & Recreation Department.

Dallas Independent School District shall pay the following tennis fees for district tournaments at the following centers directly to the appropriate tennis professional:

Fair Oaks Tennis Center No fees charged
Samuell Grand Tennis Center $2.50 per court
Kiest Tennis Court $2.50 per court
Fretz Tennis Center $3.00 per court
