BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This Supplemental Agreement will provide for continued parking citation and collection system and collection of parking fines. These service contracts will continue to provide for the management and operation of the City's metered parking assets and provide for ticket processing and collection services. The City's parking services is responsible for the management of over $8,000,000.00 in payments, the operation of over 4,000 metered parking spaces, processing of parking citations, and other parking related services.

The Parking Enforcement Division of the Department of Transportation utilizes services provided by ACE Parking III, LLC and SP Plus Corporation to manage many backend components of the City parking operations. ACE Parking III, LLC is responsible for light parking meter maintenance, meter hooding, ticket writing equipment, parking lot maintenance, and parking equipment procurement.
