BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This service contract will provide for re-entry social services and wraparound supports for the Office of Community Care. Similar services were sought to provide individuals that have been recently released from incarceration to gain housing, social support and access to basic needs and stabilization services. A major focus of programming is assisting re-entry clients in obtaining and maintaining housing. Funding from Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) came with an additional stipulation that funds must be used only for clients that have been released from TDCJ facilities.

The Re-Entry Services Program was established by the Texas State Legislature to support projects in Dallas and Houston that strive to support individuals being release from TDCJ facilities and returning to the Dallas or Houston Area. This project has been supported t...
