Authorize the (1) acceptance of a grant from the Federal Highway Administration through the North Central Texas Council of Governments for an award through the “Electric Vehicle Charging Station Call for Projects” (Project No. TRN6900, CFDA No. 20.205, Federal Award ID No. 482017453M40E) to purchase electric vehicle charging infrastructure for use by the City’s Fleet and the general public in the amount of $376,334.00 for the period December 14, 2022 through July 31, 2023; (2) receipt and deposit of grant funds in an amount not to exceed $376,334.00 in the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Fund; (3) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $376,334.00 in the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Fund; and (4) execution of the grant agreement and all terms, conditions, and documents required by the grant agreement - Not to exceed $376,334.00 - Financing: North Central Texas Council of Governments Grant Funds

BACKGROUND
In April 2022, the Department of Equipment and Fleet Management applied for funding under the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Call for Projects from the North Central Texas Council of Governments. This $376,334.00 grant award represents funding for four Direct Current Fast Chargers at Central Service Center and Southeast Service Center to be used by the City’s Fleet and the general public. The award funds approximately 100 percent of the cost of to install electric vehicle charging equipment.
