BACKGROUND

 

This item authorizes the acquisition from Ignacio H. Ignacio and Maria Del Carmen Varela of approximately 5,633 square feet of land improved with a single-family dwelling located near the intersection of Childers Street and McGowan Street for the Cadillac Heights Phase II Project. This property will be used for a future location of City service and maintenance facilities. It is the last voluntary purchase scheduled for Phase II of the project. The consideration is based on an independent appraisal. There are no relocation benefits associated.
