Authorize an increase in the construction services contract for a job order contract with Metco Engineering dba Metco to provide additional construction services at Willie B Johnson Recreation Center located at 12225 Willowdell Drive - Not to exceed $416,017.00, from $441,930.00 to $857,947.00 - Financing: Park and Recreation Facilities (B) Fund (2017 General Obligation Bond Funds)

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize Change Order No. 2 to additional construction services with Metco Engineering dba Metco under the Job Order Contract to provide construction services for repairs, alterations, renovations, remediation, and minor construction at Willie B Johnson Recreation Center located at 12225 Willowdell Drive. Services will be performed on one or more of the following building systems: accessibility components, electrical systems, plumbing systems, interior finishes and exterior finishes.
On April 25, 2022, the Park and Recreation Department authorized DO 982476 for the Job Order Contract, to perform facility work for $349,240.
On July 14, 2022, the Park and Recreation Department authorized Change Order No. 1 to the original DO 982476 for the Job Order Contract to perform facility work for $92,690.00.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On January 12, 2022, City Council authorized a Job Order Contract with Metco Engineering, Inc. for $11,000,000, by Resolution No. 22-0159.
On January 12, 2023, the Park and Recreation Board authorized Change Order No. 2 to the original DO 982476 for Job Order Contract to perform facility work for $416,017.00.
