BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a cooperative purchasing agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide for the installation, training, and configuration and maintenance of a vehicle tracking system for the Department of Aviation. Dallas Love Field Airport is seeking to establish operational situation awareness through the adoption of the AIRBOSS System which consists of AirBOSS Surface Management System, Flight Tracking, Ground Vehicle Tracking, Runway Incursion Warning System, and other professional services. Through a user-friendly dashboard, these services display aircraft movement, vehicle operations, vehicle operators, and most importantly assist in preventing runway incursion for airside operations. Runway Incursion Warning systems are essential used during poor visibility and/or during severe weather where certain divisions are required to remain operational. Furthermore, a comprehensive view of operations would increase the safety of airport personnel while assisting division managers in informed decision making.
