BACKGROUND
The Beltline Road Bridge over Goff Branch is a partnership project between the City of Dallas and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to replace the existing bridge. This bridge was included in TxDOT’s currently approved off-state system federal-aid Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program.
This action will authorize a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement with TxDOT. The estimated total project cost is $2,021,820.00 for the preliminary engineering, construction engineering, and construction costs. The local government participation amount of $222,182.00 was waived due to the Equivalent-Match Projects. The City will commit to spending at minimum $229,000.00 plus any cost overruns on the following bridges.
-Frankford Road westbound at McKamy Branch - NBI # 18-043-09F81-00-001,
-Frankford Road eastbound at McKamy Branch - NBI #18-043-09F81-00-002 and,
-Brookview Drive at Bachman Creek - NBI # 18-057-09B79-50-001.
The appropriation of the funding for each of the three bridge projects listed will be incorporated into the Annual Bridge Maintenance Plan with an estimated timeline established by TxDOT to begin in May 2025 for the repairs to Beltline Road Bridge over Goff Branch.

FISCAL INFORMATION
This action has no cost consideration to the City. In lieu of contributing, the local government participation amount of $222,182.00 to replace the existing bridge at Beltline Road Bridge over Goff Branch, the Local Project Advance Funding Agreement requires the City to commit to spending a minimum of $229,000.00, plus any cost overruns for the following three bridges in the future:
-Frankford Road westbound at McKamy Branch - NBI # 18-043-09F81-00-001
-Frankford Road eastbound at McKamy Branch - NBI #18-043-09F81-00-002
-Brookview Drive at Bachman Creek - NBI # 18-057-09B79-50-001
