BACKGROUND

 

This item, on behalf of the Park & Recreation Department, authorizes the acquisition from Pepperwood, Inc., of approximately 46,804 square feet of land located near the intersection of Bachman Drive and Webb Chapel Extension used for Bachman Lake Park Parking Lot Expansion Project. The property will create ninety-three additional parking spaces to accommodate anticipated additional park use after City of Dallas skatepark and aquatic center is developed. The consideration is based on an independent appraisal and further negotiations between the property owner and City staff. There are no relocation costs associated.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On March 9, 2023, the Park & Recreation Department Board authorized the acquisition from Pepperwood, Inc., of approximately 46,804 square feet of land located near the intersection of Bachman Drive and Webb Chapel Extension used for Bachman Lake Park Parking Lot Expansion Project on March 9, 2023.
