BACKGROUND

 

This item, on behalf of Convention and Event Services, authorizes the conveyance of two subsurface easements containing a total of approximately 10,865 square feet of subsurface land area, lying between the subsurface elevations of 12 and 30 feet, to Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC for the construction, maintenance and use of power lines and electric transformer facilities in the downtown area beneath City-owned land located near the intersection of South Lamar Street and Interstate Highway-30 as part of a Texas Department of Transportation project located near Interstate Highway-30. This easement will provide for the relocation of power lines and electrical transformer facilities that provide service to the downtown area. The purchase price is based on an independent appraisal.
