BACKGROUND
This action seeks approval to sell 25 Stryker stretchers and 5 stair chairs to Efua Agboneni in the amount of $112,000, which was publicly auctioned ending on March 13, 2023. These items were a part of a normal auction of surplus items.
The City used its current contract auctioneer, Lone Star Auctioneers, Inc., to auction these surplus items. The auctioneer charges a buyer’s premium instead of the city paying a fee.
Dallas City Code 2-37.4 requires that when the highest bid for property is more than $100,000, the sale to the highest bidder must be approved by City Council.
