Title
Authorize a three-year service price agreement for grounds maintenance services for the Police Department - Good Earth Corporation, most advantageous proposer of two - Estimated amount of $679,650 - Financing: General Fund (subject to annual appropriations)

Body
BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.

This service price agreement will provide for grounds maintenance services for the Police Department. This contract will provide mowing, edging, trimming of ground cover/shrubs, leaf clean-up, plant bed maintenance, debris and litter removal, and tree-pruning services. Additionally, the awarded vendor will apply winter rye seed, herbicides, pre-emergent, and fertilizers as needed. These services will be provided at eleven properties as follows Central Operations Division, South Central Police Station, Auto Pound Unit, Northeast Operations Division, Northwest Operations Division, Property Unit Division, North Central Operations Division, Heliport, Jack Evans Headquarters, Rowlett Police Location, and Pistol Range.

A six-member committee from the following departments reviewed and evaluated the qualifications:

* Department of Equipment and Fleet Management (1)
* Fire-Rescue Department (1)
* Park & Recreation Department (1)
* Police Department (1)
* Water ...
