BACKGROUND

Texas Materials Group, Inc. dba TexasBit, a CRH company, was established in 1948 in Dallas, Texas and their current corporate headquarters is located in Irving, Texas.

On September 22, 2021, the City Council authorized the final reading and adoption of the appropriation ordinance for the FY 2021-22 City of Dallas Operating, Capital, and Grant & Trust Budgets, which included the ARPA Funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury for the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.

On January 11, 2023, the City Council authorized a construction services contract with Texas Materials Group, Inc., dba TexasBit, a CRH company, to provide construction services for the 2023 Annual Street Maintenance Improvement Contract by Resolution No. 23-0114.

On June 14, 2023, the City Council authorized a correction to Resolution No. 23-0114, previously approved on January 11, 2023 with Texas Materials Group, Inc. dba TexasBit, a CRH company to revise funding from the General Fund to the Equity Fund and Street and Alley Fund, in an amount not to exceed $48,906,741.15, by Resolution No. 23-0779.

This action will authorize an increase in the construction services contract with Texas Materials Group Inc, dba TexasBit, a CRH company, to add funding for the 2023 Annual Street Maintenance Improvement Contract.
