Body
BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.

This service price agreement will provide for litter maintenance and trash removal services at City-owned parks, recreation centers, aquatic centers and splashgrounds for the Park & Recreation Department. Contractors will perform litter pick-up services on a pre-determined maintenance frequency established by the Park & Recreation Department. Maintenance frequencies will vary in each park based on the amount of traffic and the time of year. Adjustments to the schedule will be made based on various needs, such as special events and spray ground activity. The service agreement also includes provisions for the removal of urban encampments, post-flood clean ups, illegal dumping, and litter maintenance performed on an emergency response basis.
