BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This subrecipient contract will provide for Youth Navigation services for low and moderate-income youth in Dallas. The purpose of this program is for a local, backbone service entity to align outreach and service delivery among Youth Navigation services providers to residents of Dallas that have been impacted and/or had their needs exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. These programs will provide positive youth development, which is an intentional, pro-social approach that engages youth within their communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a manner that is productive and constructive; recognizes, utilizes, and enhances young people's strengths; and promotes positive outcomes for young people by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships, and furnishing the support needed to build on their leadership strengths.
