BACKGROUND

 

This item authorizes the acquisition from the Estate of Luther Yost, of an irregularly shaped, unimproved tract of land containing approximately 1,654 square feet. The property is located on Brookhaven Drive near its intersection at Interstate Highway 35 and will be used for the construction of erosion control improvements. The consideration is based on an independent appraisal. There are no relocation benefits associated for this acquisition.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On October 11, 2023, the City Council authorized an acquisition from the Estate of Luther Yost, of an irregularly shaped, unimproved tract of land containing approximately 1,654 square feet on Brookhaven Drive near its intersection at Interstate Highway 35, to be used for the construction of erosion control improvements by Resolution No. 23-1413.

 

On December 13, 2023, this item was held under advisement by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn King Arnold.
