BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Timothy Shearer filed a § 1983 civil rights lawsuit against former City employees Gregory Ceraso and Christopher Wagner, and current City employee Ashley Rios, seeking compensatory and other damages for claims arising from the alleged violation of Shearer’s Fourth Amendment rights during his arrest on May 3, 2020. The City and Plaintiff have reached a proposed settlement, subject to City Council approval. Mr. Shearer is represented by Scott H. Palmer, James P. Roberts, Breanta Boss, and Scott H. Palmer, P.C.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on February 23, 2024.
