BACKGROUND

This action will authorize Change Order No. 2 to increase funding to the construction services contract with Estrada Concrete Company, LLC to compensate the contractor for adding the west part of Golden Creek Road alley to the original scope in this project; and will also authorize extending the contract term a total of 127 calendar days. Change Order No. 2 will increase the contract amount by $243,003.00, from $2,658,786.21 to $2,901,789.21.

The additional scope of work was not included in the original project limits. The proposed work will include an extra one thousand, three hundred and five feet (1,305') of reinforced concrete pavement, driveway approaches, and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. This Change Order No. 2 will extend the project limits of the alley between 15632-15724 Golden Creek Road and 6231-6239 La Cosa Drive and 15503-15531 Bay Point Drive to include the west end of the alley.

Estrada Concrete Company, LLC is a registered vendor with the City of Dallas.
