BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a professional services contract with Gresham Smith for the engineering evaluation and design of storm drainage and erosion control improvements at three locations. Dallas Water Utilities has identified various properties in the City of Dallas impacted by stream erosion and flooding. Engineering evaluations and design improvements will be completed under this contract for Ash Creek stream bank stabilization at 1519 Kiltartan and to address flooding issues attributed to existing inadequate storm drainage infrastructure at two locations. Those locations include the alley just north of 4209 Rosa Court and the Highgrove Area from Clover Lane to Northwest Highway between Lakemont and Folkstone.

Engineering services for 1519 Kiltartan along Ash Creek include an evaluation, preliminary and final design drawings for approximately 70 feet of erosion control, project management, survey, easement document preparation, tree mitigation, subsurface utility exploration, and geotechnical investigations.
