BACKGROUND

 

Chapter 15D Emergency Vehicles Article II Ambulance revision is proposed in response to amendment of Texas Transportation Code and Texas Legislature House Bill 3125, permitting use of alternating or flashing white lights on emergency vehicles. Currently, ordinance requirements permit use of red lights only.

This action has no cost consideration to the City; ordinance enforcement of $500.00 penalty may generate additional revenue to the City.
