BACKGROUND

Viking Construction, LLC f/k/a Viking Construction, Inc. was established in 1993 and their current corporate headquarters is located in Georgetown, Texas.

On November 10, 2021, the City Council approved a construction contract for 2022 Two-Year Term Agreement Slurry Seal and Polymer Modified Micro-Surfacing Contract with Viking Construction, LLC f/k/a Viking Construction, Inc. by Resolution No. 21-1818.

This action will authorize an increase in the construction services contract with Viking Construction, LLC f/k/a Viking Construction, Inc. for the Two-Year Term Agreement Slurry Seal and Polymer Modified Micro-Surfacing Contract, to provide additional funds to complete the projects identified for the Certificate of Obligation funding.

This project provides for construction services scheduled for FY 2022 - 2023.

If this project group is not awarded for construction at this time, the streets will continue to deteriorate causing additional pavement cracking and potholes to form, creating additional maintenance costs for the City and potential damages to vehicles utilizing the roadways.
