On November 11, 2020, the City Council authorized a professional services contract with Jones & Carter, Inc. to provide engineering services for storm drainage and erosion control improvements at 11 locations within the City of Dallas by Resolution No. 20-1814. These locations require improvements to address localized flooding and stream bank erosion. Administrative Action No. 22-6513 authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the professional services contract with Quiddity Engineering, LLC dba Jones & Carter, Inc. for additional surveying services necessary to acquire permanent easements for three locations on November 3, 2022.

During the design of these improvements, the engineer determined that water and wastewater replacements and adjustments are necessary at two locations to facilitate construction of the proposed improvements. The scope of these improvements includes the replacement of approximately 720 feet of existing wastewater mains in an alley located south of Royal Lane and north of Flowerdale Lane from Dundee Drive towards Webb Chapel Road for the 3162 Royal Lane project and the replacement of approximately 8,100 feet of existing water and 8,900 feet of existing wastewater mains in the Yewpon/Kingsley area.
