BACKGROUND

Ashely Boles, a Dallas Fire-Rescue Officer, filed a charge of discrimination and retaliation with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Texas Workforce Commission against the City of Dallas, claiming that the City discriminated against her based on sex and disability, and that it retaliated against her for engaging in protected activity, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (Charge No. 450-2022-07026). The City and Ms. Boles have reached a proposed settlement subject to City Council approval. Plaintiff is represented by Monica Smith and the Smith Downs Group, PLLC.
