BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a three-year professional services contract with HDR Engineering, Inc., for design of the following intersections:

Loop 12/Walton Walker Boulevard and Country Creek Drive|910|South Zang Boulevard and West Saner Avenue|910|
In September 2022, the City of Dallas released a Request for Proposals (RFP) through questionnaire to shortlisted firms for engineering services for traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems services.

A three-member committee from the Department of Transportation reviewed and evaluated the proposals. HDR Engineering, Inc. was selected by the review committee as the most highly qualified proposer to provide professional services for these two intersections.

Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds are eligible within the Qualified Census Tract areas to improve various intersections to promote the safety of all right-of-way users including motorist, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Begin Design September 2023
Complete Design May 2024
