BACKGROUND

The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), which is located in Arlington, Texas, has an office at 701 South Drive, Arlington Texas, 76019.

On June 14, 2021, through Administrative Action No. 21-5767, the City of Dallas authorized an lnterlocal Agreement with the University of Texas at Arlington to obtain services to perform preliminary study and analysis to predict remaining service life of existing pavement types and develop sustainable and low-maintenance cost effective pavement with a 1OO-year service life.

This action will authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the service contract with the University of Texas at Arlington through the Interlocal Agreement to develop a Sustainable and Low maintenance Cost-effective Fiber Reinforced Rigid Pavement with 100-year service life prediction.

This Supplemental Agreement will be a continuation of the original contract and Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to provide a preliminary comparison of synthetic-fiber reinforced concrete pavement in comparison with steel-reinforced concrete pavement, and asphalt concrete pavement systems and identify potential locations with consideration to traffic volume and identify the a...
