(Contract No. PKR-2023-00023153) for design development, construction documents, and construction observation phases including landscape architecture, engineering, surveying, and platting services for the Texas Park and Wildlife Grant Group 3 Improvements Project at Thurgood Marshall Recreational Center Field located at 5150 Mark Trail Way, through the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund program authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act appropriated through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department - Not to exceed $122,700.00 - Financing: Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Grant Funds

BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a professional services contract with LJA Engineering, Inc. for design development, construction documents, and construction observation phases including landscape architecture, engineering, surveying, and platting services for the Texas Park and Wildlife Grant Group 3 Improvements Project. The project will include a prefabricated restroom building, upgrading a sports field for recreational and league sports, upgrading sports field lighting, LED security lighting, and an American Disabilities Act compliant drinking fountain.
On January 26, 2023, the City of Dallas advertised the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for professional consultants in various disciplines for the Park and Facility Projects for projects initiated within two years of receipt of the RFQ. In response to this advertisement, the Office of Procurement Services received submittals from 61 interested architecture firms on March 3, 2023.
