BACKGROUND
Plaintiffs Bridgette Dancy and Elvis Brown filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in an automobile collision on August 31, 2020, involving a Dallas Department of Sanitation Services employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Mr. Brown have reached a proposed settlement of his claim, subject to City Council approval. Mr. Brown is represented by Miguel Cazarez and Witherite Law Group.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on March 22, 2024.
