BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a professional services contract with IEA, Inc. for schematic design, design development, construction documents, procurement and construction observation phases for the Kleberg Trail Improvements Project. The 2017 Bond Program included funding for this project, which includes trail improvements located from Crawford Memorial Park near the end of the 200 block of Turin Drive to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Buckner Station located at 8008 Elam Road. The project will include a pedestrian bridge, accessible ramps, pavement striping, pedestrian crossing improvements, trailhead, and landscaping improvements.

Begin Construction September 2021
Complete Construction June 2022
