BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.
This service price agreement will provide for turf grading, drainage, and irrigation installation services for the Park & Recreation Department. Installation of turf irrigation systems, turf drainage systems, special add-on parts, and turf grading services will be utilized at various athletic fields located throughout the city. The Park & Recreation Department has over 200 adult and youth athletic fields including athletic fields for football, soccer, softball, baseball, rugby, and cricket. These services will ensure the effective management of the athletic fields thereby decreasing wait times after rain events and increasing playability of the fields during scheduled usage. The successful supplier will perform services on a pre-determined repair and maintenance schedule established by the City. The scope of services will include turf grading, turf drainage, rock excavation, and irrigation installation.
