BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a cooperative purchasing agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.
This cooperative purchasing agreement will allow for the purchase of subscription services for a place-based data and mapping solution for the Department of Information and Technology Services. This solution provides centralized reference and mapping services that will allow users access to information about the City of Dallas without the need for specialized Geographic Information Systems training. The solution allows additional data services, enterprise internal customization, map widgets and custom multi-indicator info-bubbles access through map widgets for business planning and workflow efficiency analysis.
This is a City-wide initiative through the Department of Planning and Urban Design. Users operating this solution can easily access location-specific information that provides users the tools and information necessary to answer location-specific questions about the City as they relate to demographics, real estate, jobs, health, and other topics.
