BACKGROUND

This action will authorize a construction services contract with Douglas Dailey Construction, LLC for the installation and rehabilitation of approximately 27,884 feet of water and wastewater mains. This includes the installation of approximately 1,150 feet of 6-inch, 5,690 feet of 8-inch, 9,634 feet of 12-inch, 90 feet of 16-inch, and 2,500 feet of 20-inch diameter water mains. It also includes the installation of approximately 10 feet of 6-inch, 3,410 feet of 8-inch, 1,070 feet of 12-inch, and 1,800 feet of 18-inch diameter wastewater mains and the rehabilitation of approximately 450 feet of 10-inch, 570 feet of 15-inch, 1,130 feet of 18-inch, and 380 feet of 24-inch diameter wastewater mains.

The existing water and wastewater mains targeted for replacement and rehabilitation were built between 1906 and 1977. The existing water and wastewater mains have reached the end of their useful life and are in need of rehabilitation or replacement due to poor condition, service interruptions and increased maintenance efforts.
