BACKGROUND

Several milestones have occurred to get the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Project to where it is today. On June 25, 2014, City Council authorized a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (Contract No. STS-2017-00002613) with the Texas Department of Transportation (CSJ No. 0918-45-888) for the design, test and implementation of new communication technologies at various city-wide locations by Resolution No. 14-1033.

On September 10, 2014, City Council authorized a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (Contract No. STS-2017-00002612) with the Texas Department of Transportation (CSJ Nos. 0918-47-094 and 0918-47-095) for the acquisition of hardware, software and communication equipment for a central computer system for the City's Advanced Traffic Management System upgrade project by Resolution No. 14-1471.
