BACKGROUND

This action will authorize Change Order No. 1 to the construction services contract with The Fain Group, Inc. The original scope of work was for the construction of the Hi-Line Connector Trail along Victory Avenue and Hi Line Drive between the Katy Trail and the Trinity Strand Trail.

The project scope addressed with this change order is necessary to (a) delete accent lighting and underground electrical service rerouting; and (b) adjust for construction material cost increases due to delays outside of the contractor's control which postponed the project start by nine months. This change results in a decrease of ($96,486.41), decreasing the contract amount from $11,531,424.84 to $11,434,938.43.
